Privacy policy

London SitRep is a read-only public dashboard. We do not run accounts, advertising, or third-party analytics, and we set no tracking cookies.

Who we are

London SitRep is operated by Nine Signals(“we”). For any privacy question or data-rights request, contact adam@ninesignals.com.

What we collect

You can use the dashboard without giving us any personal information — there is no sign-up, no contact form, and no advertising or analytics tracker. We do not set cookies for tracking or profiling.

Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser user-agent and timestamp) transiently in server logs to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure service. We do not use this data to identify you or build a profile.

Third-party data and links

The dashboard aggregates information from public data providers (for example Transport for London, data.police.uk, the Met Office / Open-Meteo, the Environment Agency, UK Power Networks, National Rail, MI5 and news feeds). Most of this is fetched by our servers, not your browser. Your browser does load map base-layer tiles from OpenStreetMap / CARTO. When you follow an outbound link — for example a news article or a National Rail incident page — that third party’s own privacy policy applies.

Fonts are self-hosted; we do not call third-party font services.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection in respect of any personal data we hold. As we hold no account data, in practice this applies only to transient server logs. Email adam@ninesignals.comto make a request, or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

If we ever add analytics, accounts or other data processing, we will update this page before doing so and revise the date above.
